Pear
About:
Pear was designed to help people overcome the post-2023 tech layoffs. After designing Pear Innovations to connect engineers with designers to build their own experiences and technological innovations, the brand evolved into a dual-platform entrepreneurial matchmaking service for designers, marketers, and content creators, with Pear Entertainment. The brand expanded into a nonprofit organization when I thought of giving away scholarships to high-potential students interested in starting their own tech/entertainment businesses, and hosting award ceremonies to honor the best innovations, innovators, and creators.

One Name, Two Platforms
Inspired by the core concept of collaboration in a tech space, I came up with the name “Pear” and made its first logo: Pear Innovations. The name was a parody of and inspired by Apple Inc, and Pear was the chosen fruit to represent the company brand because of its cleverly marketable homonym to “pair”.
Pear Innovations Brand Guidelines
Pear Entertainment Brand Guidelines
I decided to expand the Pear brand into entertainment/content creation because that is also another sector where design can be implemented. I am passionate about this sector because I am also into marketing.
The Pear Tree Foundation
Brand Guidelines
Inspired by the idea that anyone can make a career through free collaboration experience, I designed the Pear Tree Foundation to award scholarships to talented students who want to pursue an education and/or career in tech, marketing, and/or design with an accelerated head start.

Sponsorships & Partnerships
Because the core foundation of this platform is collaboration, I think we can partner with Apple Inc. by giving them a name-recognition boost for pushing innovation, while Apple Inc. sponsors our designers and engineers with computers and laptops, which would be a positive strategic collaboration. We can also get people to join our platforms on Y-Combinator and get funding for our project from start-up competitions like Little Bang! & Big Bang!
